Our Guarantee to You
Chatwell International’s guarantee to you is that our graduates
will complete at least one full year of teaching at your school. If
anything should happen that the teacher does not complete the
year, we refund your money!
You’re probably wondering how we can guarantee that! Well,
we have designed a special relationship between the schools,
teachers and ourselves to make sure that everyone understands the commitments
to each other, practices fluid communication to avoid problems
and follows the contracts that bind all three parties.
Besides this mutual understanding, Chatwell International only accepts
applicants, both teachers and schools, who are wholly committed to
improving the standard and reputation of ESL education around the
world!
The Criteria
In our endeavour to maintain the utmost standards in the relationships
with our teachers and schools we require that each meet certain
criteria. This criteria is a standard that we feel allows all parties
involved to feel mutually reassured in the relationship.
The Teacher Criteria
Each teacher that applies for the Chatwell International intensive
ESL training program must have the following attributes:
- graduated from university,
- be mature in their attitude toward teaching and traveling, and
- be committed to completing at least a year contract.
After acceptance to the program, each teacher must demonstrate professionalism
and determination to successfully graduate. Only successful
graduates will be placed.
The School Criteria
Each school that applies to Chatwell International for teacher
placement must meet the following criteria:
- have a stable curriculum and a clear business framework to work within, and
- have been in operation for at least three years, OR
- have completed a Chatwell International ESL Business Enhancing program
and have implemented the recommendations to the level outlined in the Success Report.
In addition, upon submission of a copy of the school license to
Chatwell International (showing registration with the government),
the school must also provide a copy of a standard teacher contract
for the position in question. All school information is strictly confidential
and not shared with or shown to anyone or any other company or school.
If a school does not meet all of the above criteria special consideration
may be granted in some situations.
The Process
When you have need for one or more teachers the procedure is
as follows:
- The school owner will contact Chatwell International Education
Centre of Canada requesting the required number of teachers and
submit a non-refundable processing fee.
- At this point Chatwell International will find appropriate
matches for the positions available at the school, will notify the
school and forward the teacher(s) resumes for review.
- Upon notification of matches and decision of the school to
hire the teacher(s), the school will forward the school/teacher
contract, already signed by the owner or manager of the school,
and half of the placement fee.
- The signed contracts and a photocopy of the teacher's plane
ticket and itinerary will be returned to the school. The school
will then forward the last half of the placement fee.
- The school will arrange for pick-up of the teacher(s) at the
nearest possible airport and transportation back to the school.
It is by staying true to our screening criteria, teacher training
program and final selection process that we can guarantee you a consistent
supply of professional ESL teachers – now and for years to come.
